+La posizione centrale. L'accoglienza dello staff. La colazione abbondante. Il letto comodo.
−Innanzitutto lo staff alla reception ci ha subito chiarito che l'hotel Merlini non esiste più ma è stato 'inglobato' dall'Ostello Bello Pertanto solo soggiornando ci siamo resi conto che mancavano tutti quei servizi tipici di un hotel (pulizia giornaliera della stanza mancante, asciugamani non cambiati, rumori continui sul pianerottolo fino a notte fonda con porte lasciate sbattere da clienti poco accorti alla tranquillità altrui in special modo la porta di accesso al piano digitalizzata a chiusura automatica, scarsa luce in bagno) Pertanto mi sono trovata a prenotare e pagare per dei servizi che non ho avuto. Spero quindi che Booking aggiorni l'elenco degli hotel di Firenze eliminando l'hotel Merlini chiarendo con l'Ostello Bello la reale gestione di quelle 12 stanze.

“Misleading hotel listing and compulsory hostel registration”
−I booked this accommodation on Booking.com as a hotel, but the experience was more consistent with staying in a hostel. The accommodation turned out to be associated with Ostello Bello. When I arrived, the receptionist did not even recognise the name Hotel Merlini. I had to leave the building and contact the accommodation via WhatsApp to clarify where I was supposed to stay. Even the management initially asked whether I meant the hostel rather than the hotel. It subsequently emerged that, according to the hostel manager, Ostello Bello had acquired Hotel Merlini approximately 18 months earlier. Access to the building presented another unexpected problem. The electronic key was linked to an email address registered in the Ostello Bello user community, so I was required to join the hostel's network to open the door. I did not want to register with the hostel or provide my personal data for this purpose, but the receptionist told me that registration was mandatory. Although my room (Room 309) was a double room with a private bathroom, there was also a shared toilet immediately next to it. In the evening, I could hear everything happening in that toilet. +Muy buena onda del personal. Buen ambiente! Hay muchas actividades. Recarga de agua disponible. Ciertos días regalan cosas. El día que llegamos había pasta. Casi como el wine and cheese en algunos hoteles. Tiene ascensor! En general muy bien la experiencia. Ojo el desayuno es aparte.
−No es un hotel común. Es más un hostal mezclado con hotel . Había mucho olor a humedad en la habitación.

“Location, location, location!”
+La ducha, las camas y sus sábanas! Muy limpios todos los espacios comunes. Laundry!!! La terraza con sillas y mesas + cocina incluida. La atención del grupo de recepción! Muy eficiente en resolución de problemas.
−Habría que mejorar el desayuno: la frecuencia y renovación de comida y bebidas acorde a las personas que presentan en el comedor. Más torta de chocolate!

“Plus- en minpunten”
+Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel! Fijne locatie. Dichtbij station en eetgelegenheden. Super dat je gratis koffie, thee en vers water kunt pakken! Kamer was sfeervol en ik had leuk uitzicht.
−De kamer was vies! Erg stoffig en de badkamer rook naar riool. Verder is het wel gehorig, dus ik zou iedereen adviseren goede oordoppen mee te nemen!
