+Sehr gutes Frühstück mit ausgezeichneten Kaffee. Das Personal zuvorkommend und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Hotel hat einen zauberhaften Charme, die zentrale Lage war äußerst angenehm. Alle unsere Ziele waren fußläufig sehr gut zu erreichen.

“Comfortable, central and - above all - quiet”
+It’s the superb central location of the Hotel James Joyce that is the winning feature of this modest, clean Trieste hotel. It’s up a little alley, but as this is as safe an Italian city as you’ll find, that’s a benefit, not a hazard. It guarantees peaceful nights. This is as quiet a place as you’ll find, and yet the buzzy bars are only steps away. One lift serves the upper floors. We were on the 3rd, in 303. Friendly staff, plenty of TV choices, tea-making in the room, and an exceptionally comfy bed.
−No complaints, except perhaps the cramped shower. Breakfast is a battle of everyone trying to negotiate the narrow corridor to serve themselves. We tried it once (€7.50 pp) but opted for outside alternatives after that.

+The position
−The stay was disappointing. Both the shower and bathroom sink were initially unusable, and the breakfast was of poor quality. The reception staff were helpful and arranged for a plumber, who eventually fixed the issues. However, the inconvenience affected our stay, and no alternative room was offered.

“Un nido confortevole nel cuore di Trieste”
+E’ un piccolo hotel nel cuore del centro storico di Trieste. La nostra camera era molto piccola ma accogliente ed intima e pulita. Complimenti per la comodità del letto. P.s. Particolarmente apprezzate le due bottiglie di acqua fresca omaggio presenti nel frigo.
