+My room was large and overlooked a lake and views of the golf course. Plenty of parking near the hotel entrance. Room was warm and quiet.

“Pleasant and comfortable stay”
+Bedroom comfortable and spacious with large bed and good size TV. Ensuite adequate. Good choice at breakfast, cooked breakfast good but if you went down the latter part of service it was a bit overdone/dry. View from room over golf course was great. Staff pleasant and helpful. Ability to get a meal in Restaurant/bar in evening was good.
−If you didn't go down to breakfast early, cooked choice was a bit overdone/dry. Tea choice bland. Meal we had in bar was bit average so ate out second night at nearby pub 5min drive away. Bathroom drains made a bit of noise.

+Convenient for breaking a journey, just off the A1, but with the lovely views and attractive surrounding villages would also be good for a short break or golf experience.An excellent breakfast was cheerfully served.

+Quiet location, all on one level, close to A1, Stamford/ Rutland Water.
−Feel that the bathroom requires updating. Shower curtain allows water to penetrate, needs replacing. Sponge / more J-cloths in kitchen + kitchen towel would be helpful. Kitchen tap requires attention, difficult to turn off/ water sprays not pours down.
