“Quiet and comfortable spot”
+A very welcome stopover on our Mizen to Malin cycle. Maybe a bit too welcoming & comfortable, nice bedrooms, comfy lounges, friendly staff. I would've loved to have stayed longer.
−A late evening arrival meant there was no food available, so we had to make the short ride into town for a bite to eat.

+The room itself was comfortable and the hotel was in a convenient location. Unfortunately, our experience later in the evening completely overshadowed the positive parts of our stay.
−There were no reception staff available when we needed assistance. We went to the bar and were refused another drink, but were specifically told to come back in half an hour for the residents’ bar. When we returned as instructed, we were treated very poorly and made to feel extremely unwelcome. What made this particularly disappointing was seeing the owner and his friends able to continue drinking while paying hotel residents were being treated this way. We were staying overnight at the hotel and expected to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. It left us feeling embarrassed and very disappointed with our stay.
