“An awesome experience.”
+I like most everything especially the owner,Serik. The facility was spotless. The kitchen made access to a cup of coffee in the morning a pleasant start to the day. When I submerged my phone under water, Serik helped me locate a shop to replace it. It was serene. And, the water was actually hot.
−It is a bit far from the center of town and the lake but I enjoy walking so it wasn’t an issue for me. I didn’t use the taxi service called “Region” but I heard you would need to know Russian to communicate with them once they’re called via phone. Not sure if this is true or if they have an app to order a Region taxi.

+The facility was very clean and they let me park my bike inside a secure garage.
−The room was as big as the bed I could literally touch both walls if I spread my arms.

“Beautiful hostel in Balqash”
+The place was beautiful. Clean and well kept. The kitchen was completely furnished and the bathroom was spotless. The beds are comfortable and cozy. The owner is one of the kindest people I've ever met!

“Good value for money & helpful staff, but not a great location!”
+The staff was quite helpful. The town was too small, and the lake was not as clean as I had imagined, so I did not sleep over, but went to the next town immediately. The staff helped me with booking a taxi similar to Blah Blah car. I was allowed early check in and was helped with directions whenever I wanted. The room was a capsule, but they had indicated that earlier, so no cheating from the hostel. Also the locker was fairly large
−It was 2.3 km from the city centre, which is a lot in a small town such as Balakhash.

+The host and staff were all incredibly kind and helpful. One night, the host invited all of the guests at the hostel to a barbecue with his family. He also helped me locate a possession of my mine that had gone missing, even going so far as to deal with the local police on my behalf.

“Comfy stay with great service”
+Very comfortable beds and each capsule even has a window. They also let us check in very early at 7am which was very much appreciated. Great service by Chingiz who went out of his way to help us find transport to Bishkek!
