“No one likes to be taken advantage of and I feel we were”

−We understand it was a premium weekend and through circumstances beyond our control (let down by Airbnb) we needed a last minute room. However, we were charged $1000 per night. Sadly, not even the location or the surrounding weekend events justified the price for a tiny, slightly scruffy and dated room. On our last full day we returned at about 8 pm and the room had not even been cleaned (which I had requested).

−Uiteindelijk is het een opgelapt motel dat er op foto goed uitziet maar er hangt alsnog die vieze typische geur van een motel en daarvoor was het veel te duur.

−- expensive for a modern motel - shampoo, conditioner etc. not good quality - received a parking note to pay $100 at the night before checkout even they had the license plate at check in - rooms are not soundproof - you can here your neighbors

+The motel was fantastic - such a unique and fun place to stay. We loved the room, the pool, and the location. The staff were friendly and helpful and communication was clear and easy. They had a couple of fun parties at the pool which we enjoyed and they were wrapped by 10pm so didn't affect sleep!

+Great location walking distance to lots of downtown restaurants bars and shops didn’t get to use the pool but looks nice. Rooms are clean comfortable and perfectly decorated love the snacks and stocked mini bar. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great for couples weekend

+Our group of 3 couples had a wonderful stay at Austin Motel. One couple in our group needed accessible accommodations, and the hotel had exactly what they needed, which made the trip much less stressful. The staff was friendly, and check-in was smooth from start to finish. The location on SOCO is hard to beat. We used to live in central Austin years ago, and I never imagined we’d come back and stay here as guests. It was such a pleasant surprise and a fun way to experience one of our old favorite neighborhoods from a different perspective. Everything was within easy walking distance: great restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and live music. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had the retro Austin charm the motel is known for. The common areas were inviting, and it was a great place for our group to relax and spend time together. My only suggestions would be to add a chest of drawers or dresser for storing clothing. There was a chair in the corner, but with a sofa already in the room, that space could be put to better use with additional storage. The bathroom also felt a bit tight, so a few wall-mounted shelves would make a big difference for toiletries and personal items. Overa
