+I stayed here last year and this year both good experienced nice kept up rooms
−Nothing bad to say
“I'd return another time to decompress and relax!”
+The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Small but cozy. It was a bit further from downtown Julian than we had anticipated, however the restaraunt across the street was so great! Live band and good food. Also nearly walking distance from a cute little area that had a Cider Brewery, Wine and Chocolate tasting and shopping. Also enjoy a glass of wine under the stars behind the hotel in the cute little areas they've set up for visitors.
−There's no pool. The staff told us there was once one there, but now it's just a dirt area. This is not a 5 star resort by any means, but a clean, romantic stopover for a quick retreat.

+It was calm and clean in the room. The beds were comfortable.
−The outside sitting areas weren’t really set up or cleaned for guests. Felt kind of like we were there in off season.

“Sweet roadside motel countryside getaway”
+Super cute, quaint, and clean. Excellent stargazing on the backside of the property.
−We were in room 2 - the first night was great. The second night was quite noisy with a guest next door. Other than that, highly recommend!

+Really convenient online check in, particularly good feature of this motel as it's all done remotely so you just get your door key code on your phone and check right in. Huge room with living area, tv, kitchen and twin bedded bedroom.

“My partner and I enjoy our treks to Julian and this is a great place to stay.”
+Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. A/C worked well. TV backlights were a little annoying but nothing crucial. I'd happily stay here again.
−Water pressure in the shower wasn't great but satisfactory. The only semi complaint I have is that the cushions on the chairs were not comfortable at all. They felt broken in.

+Clean, renovated room with updated AC. Very comfortable room and cool and comfortable for our dog during hot weather. I did a follow up phone call to the hotel directly to confirm with them that we had a dog with us. No grassy area but plenty of space to potty our pup. Very easy check in/check out process. It's right across the street from California Mountain Bakery voted the best apple pie place in California multiple times.
−There's nothing we didn't like except maybe a grassy area or turf area for the dog would be nice but not a deal breaker. We managed.

−Staff would only answer text messages and not the phone. Water reservoir for coffeemaker was full, but green with algae. Intermittent whooshing sound all night. The shower on off handle seemed ready to fall off. Only got hot water if the handle was all the way on cold, and then it was lukewarm at best.
