+We are second time in this hotel. It’s really nice hotel. Good location. Perfect breakfast with the outside terrace.
−It was strange that we ordered one room and when we came, they didn’t have that room. They offered us, as they said, better room. New room was nice. We got new room with terrace in ground floor, when initially our room was with balcony. 5* hotel should not do like this.
“A pleasant stay, but room for improvement”
+Location to the harbour, restaurants and cafes is very good, and walkable. The breakfast options were fresh and varied, and the service from staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms were pleasant enough, of a decent size, and my sister and I were pleased to receive adjoining rooms.
−I was expecting a big refurbishment!! but other than some new furnishings in the lobby, and the walls looking like they had been painted, the hotel was much the same as I remember it on my last visit a good few years ago. Some furnishings, soft furnishings, curtains, lobby and hallway floors, outside pathways and terraces looked tired and in need of maintenance or replacement. One of the two blinds at my bedroom window was not working, as in, I could not get it to pull up/open, I informed reception on checking out. We ordered room service on two occasions, on the second, the food arrived and was stone cold, it was taken away and replaced, and a free bottle of wine was given. However this shows a lack of quality control on food leaving the kitchen. My sister was completely ignored when waiting for a drink at the greek restaurant on the broad walk, when raised with another member of staff a free drink was provided, however, given I was only on a 3 night stay, two incidents resulting in compensatory drinks is not good for the hotel's service reputation or indeed their profit margins !! The only outside toilets I could locate, were down the steps at the greek restaurant, and were badly

−Félpanziót nem ajánlom ! Vacsora kifejezetten rossz!!!! A la carte . Választék igen szegényes, nem is finom. Étlap fizetős oldaláról sem találtunk számunkra megfelelő vacsorát.Átmentünk a Happy Island étterembe .

“Very poor that there are no disabled rooms in the top quality hotel”

−Not at all suitable for disabled guests. I knew the rooms weren't for disabled, but it was far worse than I thought☹️ couldn't get out of the door on my own because it was too heavy or into it with my wheelchair. Couldn't get into the shower because the door into the bathroom covered entrance into the shower. Some ramps were impossible to use on the upward trajectory without being pushed. Ground floor Terrace room was very dark Not enough lighting in the room Couldn't reach wardrobe to hang Couldn't see in most of the mirrors, except the one on the door which had no sockets nearby. Had to use very small lift to get to reception, had to have someone with me. No independence at all whilst at the Almyra. Lovely staff I could show you how to make this into a top quality hotel for all! You certainly do not encourage to disabled visitors - I guess the rules are different in Cyprus to the UK.
