「Reliable, affordable and peaceful.」
+Always stay at the Waitomo when the drive to Auckland gets too long - and always seem to be able to get a bed, even last minute. The staff are super helpful with arranging late check ins and the rooms are pleasant and peaceful. The bed would have been less than ideal for two people (it's one of those push together jobs with an annoying ridge running along the join) but it was fine for one person.
−The bed wasn't ideal - but I had a good sleep so long as I stuck to the side.

「A comfortable motel well sited for the surrounding attractions」
+From the outside a typical older style NZ motel but inside our Deluxe Studio was a bright, high ceilinged and spacious room with a King size bed, kitchenette (no stove nor sink) and sunny balcony facing the railway line and bush at the back of the motel. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of hot water in the shower the next morning. Parking was outside the unit. There were freight trains passing through the night on the line but once asleep they did not disturb us and being at the back we were away from the main road. A supermarket was down the road and the location was excellent for accessing the surrounding caves and hikes.
−No separate kitchen sink to wash dishes in and a wet-room style open shower.

+Cleanliness, and the Bosco cafe across the road, which is a great and handy cafe for breakfast
−The bathroom is quite slippery, there is only one drain, so it can easily be flooded. It has kitchenette, but only one sink (in the bathroom).

「Clean, convenient and reasonable value for money」
+It is located conveniently to Waitomo caves and all that area has to offer and close to the Te Kuiti township for eating out, groceries etc
−Our room was a bit sparse- could do with a couch or some arm chairs. Has the space for something. Also the bathroom needs an upgrade. Looking a bit tired overall

「Welcoming, comfortable, homely.」
+Easy location, easy to find right on entring town. 3-5mins from all ammenties of Te Kuiti township. Easily walkable. The owner was welcoming, kind and helpful. Our room was comfortable, clean and warm with plenty of space for hubby and I. Loved the kitchenette, we were able to prepare a whole dinner and lunch meal from the cooker, well stocked with cutlery and cooking pans/ utensils. We forgot oil, the owner highlighted the communal kitchen facility on site with communal basics (salt, oil, coffee and extra dishes). Overall a good stay, I would rebook again.
−Unavoidable road noise (is right on main road in to town) and train (Te Kuiti has main train line connecting mid northisland to north and south lines, so again unavoidable). Not so much of a bother for our stay, more stating as a fact.

+It was very clean, beds were comfortable. Front reception very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
−One suggestion we would make is the back garden which the balcony looks over, was overgrown. If you are advertising a Riverview, it would look better to keep it tidy. Only thing that let this place down.

「Good overnight stopover to see the caves」
+Clean and as advertised. Was great to have a hot hot shower and proper bed after 4 day remote river camping /canoe trip.
−Was disappointed the bed was two singles pushed together but was still comfortable and warm

−If the hotel wasnt smack between the main highway and railine it would perfect. If your a lite sleeper ear plugs.
