7.0「Basic rooms, ideal location for a stopover」
+The hotel is conveniently located right off the motorway, so I didn’t have to make any detours from my route. It’s an ideal place to stop overnight and get some rest while travelling. Breakfast is substantial, with a good variety of options, and you can even have fresh scrambled or fried eggs cooked to order. There is parking right next to the hotel, and I could see both the parking area and my car from my room. The hotel is set back from both the motorway and the main road, on a hill, which provides the peace and quiet you need for a good night's sleep.
−As you might expect, the rooms are basic, with virtually no amenities, not even shampoo or soap. You get a bed, a TV, a table, and a bathroom with a shower. The water pressure was disappointing, and the cleaning could have been more thorough. Finally, if I book a double room as a solo traveller, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to be allowed to use the entire bed, including the side that would otherwise be occupied by a second guest. I found it ridiculous that I couldn’t stretch out across the whole bed simply because I was travelling alone. To make matters worse, the hotel management contacted me to warn me that if they noticed I had used the other side of the bed, I would be charged an additional fee. I understand that some guests may make reservations for one person while actually staying as a couple. However, the hotel has surveillance cameras, so perhaps management should use them to address such situations rather than making unreasonable assumptions about their guests. In our case, we were actually two people who booked TWO SEPARATE ROOMS specifically so that we could sleep separately and get a proper night's rest.
