+I liked the room and amenities and the restaurant was great for breakfast
−It was raining and I needed to go out for dinner because restaurant not available. I was an interstate traveller and they didn't have umbrellas available to borrow. Fortunately I didn't get wet because it stopped raining but I was surprised that they weren't available.

−Access to the hotel with a car. Parking is far away. Staff could be a bit warmer on check in and out. Very transactional.

+Amazing location, so central and our first pick whenever we have an event and need to stay in the city. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff are all so lovely. Checking in and out is always so quick! We’ll be back.

「My new favourite hotel in Melbourne CBD.」
+Excellent location. Very comfy bed and pillows. Friendly staff and service. Cafe downstairs with great food. My second stay here and look forward to next visit. Highly recommend this hotel.

「Great hotel in incredible central location」
+Great central location and a modern clean room. The staff were friendly and being able to store suitcases was appreciated. Having the cafe Time After Time in the lobby area was great.
−Only 2 towels and fridge very small if you wanted to purchase water or milk and keep it cold. Even a couple of small plates or bowls would have been useful so you could buy your own cereal for breakfast.

+My friend recommended The Howey to me and it did not disappoint. It's great value, right in the heart of the CBD with all the bars and restaurants and shopping on your doorstep, but tucked away in a laneway so it is nice and quiet. Comfy beds and a nice sized room with a plush sofa to relax on and a table I could work on, really is a great hotel.
