+Kate the manager was really helpful, a few things which are minor upgrades: Mini fridge in the room Double glazed windows (i had to sleep on the window side) A better method of transportation of my suitcase upstairs Macie who worked there was fantastic Great breakfast and service I would definitely go stay there again

「Overall a good stay with terrific breakfast.」
+Staff very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast probably the best I have had anywhere in world, fresh and good assortment. Assistance from Luke when my car wouldn't start before driving home in storm Austin.

「A warm and comfortable welcome to a lovely village」
+Wonderful selection for b fast beautifully cooked and presented. Unfortunately no dinner on our two evenings of stay. Very attentive staff. A warm and welcoming environment. Would visit again

「Fabulous hotel with great staff」
+Lovely hotel in a stunning setting. It was close to all the attractions such as the Grasmere Gingerbread shop and Wordsworth Grave and also some great independant shops.

「A bit disappointing」
+Good location, great breakfast, nice lounge and garden, bed reasonably comfy. Young lady who was always on duty was helpful. Fresh milk for tea.
−Small room even though it was superior. Dirty bath, no soap for sink, no tooth mugs or bath mat. Restaurant closed for 2 of 3 nights we were there, with bar closing early, so it felt like we were paying for hotel facilities that weren’t available.

+Lovely little hotel with lots of character. Much thought had gone into the room decor and the bathrooms were lovely and modern. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice, especially as this is a small hotel.
