−The first thing that greeted me was a man loudly exclaiming to the hotel clerk behind four inch bulletproof glass was that he did not in fact have a weapon. But the woman upstairs might. His nostrils were red and flared and he was tweaking out like a electrified grasshopper. This chaotic greeting was met with apathy and indifference by the clerk who I assumed dealt with this regularly. We reluctantly checked in and headed upstairs to inspect our accommodations. When the elevator opened out to the floor it looked like a gateway to Rikers. Dingy floors, cold florescent lighting and scuffed grey cement walls. The room carried the same charm. Within minutes we decide to book another room and quickly left to the lobby to get a refund. The twitching man was still in the lobby surrounded by five cops. For soem reason the clerk was shocked by my request to cancel and refund my money. Asking why?? I just gestured around me. We were there fir five minutes and he had the audacity to still charge me a $50 cancellation fee. I suggest you spend the extra $100 so you can sleep soundly.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. During our two-night stay, the air conditioning did not function properly, and there were persistent noises throughout the night that made it difficult to sleep. As a result, we were unable to get the restful stay we had expected. I regret having to leave a negative review, but I feel it is important to share our honest experience. Based on our stay, I would not recommend this hotel to travelers whose priority is a quiet and comfortable night's sleep. This version keeps the criticism clear while sounding professional and courteous.

「Great stay in Brooklyn」
+The room was styled nicely, it was comfortable and the staff were great. I found it really easy to get to by train from JFK airport and found the neighbourhood nice and very accessible to the rest of New York. I was travelling solo and this was a much better option than the hostel styled accomodation in more central parts of the city.
