「Stunningly beautiful spot to stay」
+The accomodation is amazing. It's located in native bushland on a family run farm. There is a beautiful lake on the property just a short walk away and the bird life right outside the door is so magical to listen to. They even have their own little glowworm grotto also on the property! The hosts are so lovely and have huge knowledge on the area and history of Waitomo,the caves and the family farm. Cabins are warm and inviting and you can see the effort and small personal touches that go into the place! Lovely Continental breakfast provided and to be able to just sit outside and take in the exceptional views is absolute bliss.

「Angus is a great host, this place is special, the view and the grotto make the place」
+The cabin is basic but comfortable, a gas barbecue for cooking and plenty of warm blankets for the view. Mount Ruapehu in the distance and glow works on site, Douglas the lamb and Angus the host. Fantastic

+Such a cute little cottage with stunning views. Would highly recommend staying at Te Tiro.
−Some lights to the Glow worm getto would have helped so we knew where to go for the experience.

「Idyllic native bush setting」
+Everything at Te Tiro was exceptional. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we met Angus on our arrival (and via helpful communications from Angus and Rachel while we we on our way). The view from our accommodation was spectacular, the glow worm grotto was magical, the accommodation was warm, comfortable, quiet and clean and included everything you could need. The native bushland and the birds were stunning too. Cuddles with Dougall (a young lamb) were a very special added bonus! Set in the middle of a couple of different areas of interest it is worth at least a few days stay!
