「Route 66 vibe. Friendly and helpful staff.」
+The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The facility has a Route 66 vibe. We were pulling a trailer and parking was not a problem. There was no breakfast per se, but we were given a brown bag with a pastry and other items upon check-in.
−Overall, a good experience.

「Very unique and original. A must see!!」
+Staff was incredibly friendly, and had a goodie bag upon arrival ready for us! If you have pets, they had one for them too. There were beautiful outdoor spaces for relaxing. And the motel itself was kept original, like stepping back in time when Route 66 was bustling, but it didn’t sacrifice cleanliness!!
−Check ins had to be before 10, but it seemed like if you called ahead to the office they would leave you room available for if you got there later.

+Close your eyes and think of 1956 pre I-40. Same vibe and more awesome! Love the fresh baked things too!

「If you’re for a classic Route 66 motel, you can’t do better than the Sunset Motel!」
+I like staying this type of motel. Parking right outside of your room is so convenient. The property is very well maintained inside and out. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Beds are very comfortable and having a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator are all very convenient. The owners are the best people you could ever wish to meet. They take pride in their motel and it shows in every detail. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and do a wonderful job. The motel was built by the owners father in 1959. It’s the perfect Route 66 motel. I highly recommend it and will certainly stay here again when in the area.
