+Staff were lovely on arrival. It was quiet. Food was good.

「Lovely hotel with great views」
+Excellent breakfast and very nice evening meal . Nice bar where you could bring the dog. Comfortable bed and lovely view from window. Staff all great. Free parking
−All good at the hotel. St Bees was a bit disappointing. Beach only accessible over big pebbles and the cliff walks were closed in both directions.

「Very enjoyable stay. Would like to revisit」
+Breakfast was good, could do with Hash Browns as standard. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them and done with a smile. The location is wonderful.

「Lovely place and staff」
+Great view of the sea from the room. Staff really friendly. Room a bit dated but really clean, comfortable and quiet. Food good. Perfect for start for the coast to coast walk.

+Excellent location, lovely sea views, plenty of parking, quiet rooms and friendly staff. Very good breakfast.
−Entrance to hotel rather shabby, reception area - unlike the staff - not very welcoming.

「Average hotel」
+It's in a fantastic location for starting the Coast to Coast with very little competition for food etc. The room albeit a bit small was fine clean and tidy. Breakfast was substantial
−The reception and bar very dated and reminded me of 1980's working men's club. Evening meal okay but had to eat in bar as restaurant booked out for a function. Staff not unfriendly but close!
