「Close to family」
+I could tell this location was recently updated. The outdoor paint looked clean and fresh. The parking lot was clean. The moment we stepped into the room, we liked the feel. It was a large room with 2 queen beds. Had room for a small table and 2 chairs. Closet, small fridge, large space to get luggage off the floor. The bathroom had 2 areas: the toilet and tub/shower with a door and the sink and vanity area with nice lighting. The beds were comfortable. Each bed had 4 pillows. The A/C definitely worked. It was nice and cool when we entered into the room. The room smelled clean. The young lady who checked us in and the young man who checked me out were efficient in their duties and friendly. They do serve coffee in the mornings. There is a Starbucks next door. The location is on an access road but the next road to turn around is close. Easy to get to and back to where we wanted to go. Even though it was on the access road, the road noise was not a problem.
−There was not one thing I did not like.

−Room smelled like Marijuana. The thin mattress was hard. 2 dead cockroaches under sink. The refrigerator was very loud.

+Not much of anything really.
−When checking in, the person working the front desk would not get off his phone to check me in properly. But, knowing that type of motel I shouldn’t expect anything different. The door to the room had a gap so wide I could see street lights. The guy in the room next to us had so many cats and it appeared he lived there with the amount of trash and laundry that he had outside his door.

「Not as advertised, painful to walk up and down the stairs; heavy mildew smell plus tobacco smell.」
+The small refrigerator in this room was clean.
−Every time for the last three times I've seen a picture of a room with two king-sized beds and the assertion that the room had a handicapped bathroom. Each time the beds were full beds, there was no handicap bathroom, and the room was on the second floor (with no elevator). The rooms smelled like smoke (non-smoking rooms for a non-smoker, probably due to the maintenance guy who walks in and out of every room with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth), and this last room smelled strongly of mildew. Finally, even though the turntables in the microwaves never work, this last room had no microwave, yet there are boxes of new microwaves sitting in their staging area, upstairs. So, hopefully, they are installing new ones. Oh, and there are moth-eaten areas of the curtains so you can (possibly) see through at nights ....
