「York was good, hotel was even better!」
+The room was really lovely, modern, clean, and the bed was one of the best I've ever slept in. The hotel was centrally located without being in a main tourist area. The main standout was the breakfast. Attentive staff, great coffee and fresh food. Parking was also only £15 for 24 hours, which is the cheapest by far compared to other hotels or local car parks.

+Excellent breakfast and breakfast staff
−Really poor check in experience. Had a cosy room, which was small as expected but the bathroom was minute!

+Dicht bij Station York, en dichtbij de stad. Ontbijt was ook heel goed.
−Bedden waren hard, wel fijn dat het 2 losse bedden waren.

「Nice hotel in a peaceful location let down by lots of little things」
+Location, cooked breakfast, friendly staff
−Lots of little things that added together were disappointing, but each on their own not a big issue. Mould running down the walls in the bathroom, duvet was 2 smaller duvets zipped together which didn’t fill the cover, bed sheet didn’t cover the mattress, no fire escape plan in the room (legal requirement), no hypoallergenic pillows available even though a card in the room said they were in the wardrobe but weren’t, room was set up for 1 guest despite booked for two, cooked breakfast over cooked, poached eggs cooked in vinegar, tired looking and uninviting corridors, smart tv not connected to internet…….

+The hotel is absolutely amazing. The rooms and all public and garden areas lovely. Decor, cleanliness and attention to detail top notch.. We were early so left our bag with Tara who was absolutly delightful while we went to explore Checking in with Maria who was really customer service at it's very best and also taken our bag to our room. Rooms excellent, sleep masks, pillow spray all tea, coffee machine, milk biscuits high quality. Beds and bedding high end. We had a problem with noise and Maria again changed us to another equally as nice room without question. If we were to return to York this would definitely be my first choice.
