「My stay was less than ten minutes long as they messed up my reservation and had no room for me.」

−I couldn't stay at the Lighthouse Inn as they messed up my reservation. I was told someone had moved my check in and check out dates. I was told there was not room for me that night, then as I was standing there trying to figure out where I would stay the front desk clerk looked around me to other customers. She didn't offer to help with finding a new place to stay, didn't apologize, she just stopped talking to me and stared at other customers until I walked away.

「Nice Hotel - Upgrade needed」
+Restaurant was very good. Quality food, good waitstaff. Room was very comfortable. Great view of the lake.
−The bathrooms are very dated. The decor is functional but the toilets have to go!. I have stayed here 4-5 times now in the past year or so. The toilet stools are extremely low - approximately 12 to 13 inches and for older adults, very difficult to sit down on and a struggle to get up from. Please start up a program to change out for ADA Compliant toilets. Perhaps do several rooms at a time. This is not a thing that most people review because it is an "awkward" subject but it really needs to be addressed. We love the hotel and will keep using it when we travel. Thank you for listening and take my bathroom comment to heart.

+Great location right on Lake Michigan with private beach!
−It’s a little dated, but was clean and AC worked great. For the price, still a great value.

「Great location. Clean. But overdue for an overhaul.」
+Great location. On the water. Walkable to nice small town. The free breakfast was very good, in room overlooking the lake.
−Definitely an older 1970s vibe. Could really use a facelift.

+You cannot beat the location of this place! It a privately owned property and while the inn is outdated it’s at the same time very clean. The only complaint was the musty smell but the location and property outweighed that inconvenience. Bonus the restaurant attached was delicious and breakfast has a few free options or a coupon for $7 off other dishes at breakfast time.
