+The beauty and abundant open space is an escape like none other. The vibe is special and memorable. The restaurant is delicious.
−Loved everything about the property except I wish there was chill music to add to the vibe poolside.

「Beautiful place but the value we got didn't match the price tag.」
+Inness is super well-designed and felt much less bougie and more family-friendly than we expected. Generally, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The cabins are tasteful, comfy and spacious, and had it been a sunny summer weekend, we likely would have made much more use of the full grounds with the outdoor pools being open etc. The restaurant was a major highlight; the food was excellent, and we will definitely be back for it.
−Despite the cozy cabins and generally friendly staff, our rainy weekend at Inness didn't meet the standard that we would hope for at this price point. The grounds were muddy and, given no cars are allowed, you either had to wait for a car or walk through the rain to reach the restaurant, spa, etc. Only once did an empty car going back to the reception stop and asked if we needed a ride. One driver nearly hit us when we reversed backwards without noticing us in the driveway of the farmhouse. The spa was nice but the sauna was overcrowded, with the steam room being out of service. The main reason for the stay was that I gifted my partner a golf weekend. Separate from the weather conditions, the golf course was in poor condition; while we were only charged a fraction of the golf fee, the lack of advance notice was frustrating given the long drive upstate and high nightly rates. The cabins aren't fully separate, and we were given one with a family with a baby and dog staying in the connected section. We asked to move rooms due to poor soundproofing / rattling of objects in our room, without the other people even being very loud or ignorant at all. The transition was poorly handled. We

「We enjoyed our stay, but for the price point I definitely feel it was lacking in certain areas.」
+Our cabin was sweet, comfortable, warm and relaxing. The grounds were very pretty when it snowed, the farmhouse was cozy, the restaurant was also nice. Aesthetically everything was very pleasing. Staff was kind and punctual with being picked up and dropped off from our cabin.
−I will reiterate from other reviewers that if you’re there on a busy weekend, we didn’t hear the people next to us but we heard their dogs very clearly- soundproofing is something I feel should be budgeted in for the price point of the stay. Bath house was nice, I feel it could have been a bit bigger, the outdoor pool definitely should be kept running in the winter and the steam room smells like mildew. The restaurant was expensive and most of the things we had were pretty tasty but I feel they focused a little too much on aesthetic and not flavor. The lunch salad was lettuce, micro-planed parm, light dressing and watermelon radishes for $20, I added chicken which came with 0 seasoning, seems like it was sous vide and marked on the grill, that bumped the cost up to $30. $30 for a very boring salad. The avocado toast was gorgeous, but again- no salt or anything to give it flavor just avocado on dry toast and flavorless garnishes.

+Great location and views. You have to walk back to the dining room and facilities or call the land rovers.
−Maybe $200 too expensive. Poor water pressure, some neighbors noise

「Charming Hotel With One Major Flaw」
+We stayed at Inness in Accord, NY for a short getaway and were genuinely impressed at first, the property is stunning. The design is beautiful, the grounds are peaceful, and the amenities like the pool, spa, and restaurant were all fantastic. The food was great, the spaces felt clean and well-maintained, and we were seriously considering extending our stay another night. However, the experience took a turn once we got to the room. While the room looked lovely and clean, the bed was a major issue. Every time we moved, even slightly,it made extremely loud creaking and cracking noises. It was impossible to get a good night’s sleep, which was really disappointing considering the price point and overall vibe of the hotel. Since it was already late, we waited until morning to say something, but by then we were exhausted from barely sleeping. I truly wanted to love this place, and in many ways I did,but the bed situation really ruined the experience for us. We ultimately chose not to extend our stay, which was a shame. I hope management takes note, because this place has so much potential to be perfect.
