4.0「Not the place to rest if you expect a quiet hotel and respectful, professional staff」
+The price was relatively reasonable, and the room was available for a last-minute booking, the air conditioning worked OK, and the bathroom was spacious. Reception was open 24 hours, and the man at reception was professional and efficient. Check-out was at 12:00, which was also better than many alternatives. It was possible to park on the surrounding streets, although finding a space may be challenging.
−Our initially satisfactory impression was completely ruined by the noise and behaviour of the cleaning team. Starting work early in the morning is completely understandable. What is not acceptable is two members of the cleaning team speaking extremely loudly in the corridor for hours about their private lives, as if there were no guests on the floor. I went out and politely asked them to lower their voices. One lady apologised, but practically nothing changed: the loud conversations continued almost nonstop for more than three hours, making it impossible for us to rest. When I complained again, another younger member of the team argued with me instead of apologising, insisting that this was normal because it was daytime and they were working. Later, the team leader also defended them. This argument makes no sense in a hotel. The issue was never that staff were working or communicating, but that they were having prolonged, extremely loud private conversations in guest areas. Being considerate of guests should be one of the most basic responsibilities when working around hotel rooms. The situation became even stranger when the young woman who argued with me said that she did not work
