「Handy for the Old Town but should have brought ear plugs!」
+Lovely staff, and I was able to check in early. Bar is cool and has great cocktails - but, for me, bar best enjoyed from inside it rather than trying to sleep in a room above it.
−Worst night's sleep I've had in a hotel. Loud pumping music until 1am. Outdoor verandah had a noisy group outside shouting and swearing for a long time. I wish I had noticed the small print before I booked: "property is located in a busy area and may experience noise." Even so, rooms have paper thin walls and big gaps under the doors so you hear every noise from inside the hotel too. Right in the Old Town so I imagine this stay would work really well for particular types of travellers but for me and my family, it didn't work for us.

「Couldn’t ask for a better location, right near the Marienplatz. Staff was tremendous, helped with whatever was needed.」
+Location. Breakfast was great. Staff was even better.
−Room was a bit dusty. Shower needed new chaulk on bottom.

「Nettes Hotel in bester Lage」
+Das Personal war super freundlich, das Frühstück sehr gut und das Zimmer grundsätzlich geräumig und komfortabel.
−Das Bad war sehr klein, leider auch etwas schimmelig und das Wasser blieb minutenlang in der Duschtassche stehen. Zusätzlich war die Duschtür kaputt - dringende Reparaturen notwendig!

「Great location - but remember it's a 3 star hotel that feels like a student apartment.」
+Fantastic location. Right in the middle of the old town. Walking distance to all the main sights.
−The room feels more like a student apartment... 2nd hand furniture, dirty bathroom... A tower-style fan is provided (because no air-conditioning) but the fan is filthy. The ceiling light has exposed live wires, the electrical cable behind the TV is falling off the wall. The spiral staircase seems to be a selling point... but it is rather unimpressive.
