+The room was very clean and comfortable. Close to all the attractions and in a very walkable location. We felt safe walking around the area at night. Downside would be the stairs - the were very steep and we don’t travel light. I would say though, if you are looking for a historical place to stay this is the norm! There was street noise in our room, but it was quiet by around 11. The room also was equipped with an AC unit which was an added bonus. The hotel runs a bit different as there is no front desk but we had excellent support that was just a text message away.
+Gorgeous boutique hotel in the best part of Amsterdam - the 9 streets! Just loved everything about it - but prepare yourself for the Dutch stairs.
+Spacious and well appointed. There was construction being done to the building so we were not able to enjoy the patio area unfortunately but otherwise it was a good stay. The stairs are steep but manageable. The owner was helpful to allow us a way to store luggage which was very helpful.
+Hotel IX was the perfect place to stay for our first visit to Amsterdam. We were able to walk to all the attractions we wanted to see and to nearby restaurants. Although there are many stairs to climb and the building was undergoing some outside renovation, our host Merel was very helpful and kind. Thank you.
+Merel was very accommodating, helpful and a source of local information.
「Don’t think twice - book Hotel IX」
+I can’t say enough good things about Hotel IX and the wonderful host, Merel. After searching for a place on Google and Hotels.com, we found Hotel IX and after our stay in the Runstraat Suite we have no hesitation in recommending it. The accommodation is great, the location is perfect and the overall experience was seamless. Our room had a huge photo of the Runsraat streetscape, and we went and checked it out in person and recreated the photo, which is a cool little touch.
+This was quite a unique property almost as if an Airbnb and a hotel had a child. Staying here felt like a blend of the two you had your own private access code and what felt like pretty much a full apartment, but with a hotel style booking and Airbnb style check in. Over all the places, really nice walkable and essentially located. I would stay here again
「Love it」
+Omg. This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Amsterdam. The place felt like home. The rooms were clean. And tidy. The views of the courtyard and street were perfection. Merel is a blessing to the hotel. She was there everyday. Made sure we had everything we needed at all times. Just perfect. I can't wait to go back and see her.
+The hotel is in an excellent location, with everything within walking distance. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable and bathroom was very modern. Merel is an excellent host who is very accommodating and genuine. I was travelling solo and she went above and beyond to look after me. I would definitely stay here again.
+Merel was a wonderful host and the modernized room in a very old building had great ambiance. From the terry robes and slippers and the the fully stocked fridge, to the windows that open and the location, it was perfect for a 4 day visit. You can literally walk everywhere from the location, museums, dam square, red light district, ice bar, canal rides and fantastic shopping. Highly recommend!
