「Great location. Room too small. Tired around the edges and a little expensive for what it was.」

−Room was a little small. No sofa to sit on and only one chair. The shower door was warped with a large gap which let water escape onto the floor.

「Good base for Exeter city.」
+The pool and grounds were well kept. The car parking was good (glad I pre booked). Staff are friendly but were busy and a bit flustered.
−The breakfast was ok but not worth the price. The coffee from a machine was terrible. There are 2 excellent cafes down the street who do proper coffee. Pillows were terrible and the mattress too soft. I had a junior suite which I found to be quite small.

「Welcoming staff and relaxing space.」

+A great location within the city, a beautiful building with its own gardens. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed and everything you could need. The bottle of water in the fridge was appreciated. We did swim in the heated pool which was lovely in the October sunshine. We ate in the bistro and had the early fixed price menu, as we were going to a show. Food was very good, as was the breakfast the following morning. All the staff from reception, bar, restaurant and cleaners were friendly, helpful and professional. Thankfully, we had booked car parking prior to our arrival and although there is other parking nearby, we were not sure whether it was a daily rate? We feel the parking is expensive, especially as you are a guest of the hotel. This was the only downside.

−We’re pre warned about the aircon, but as the heat had passed thought we would be ok With opening windows, but windows and secondary glazing meant they would hardly open so room Would not cool down.

「Warm and friendly」
+Love the proximity to Exeter centre. Love the building and all the facilities.The rooms and how comfy they are. Toby and his staff and their warmth and friendliness during our stays with them .

−Very poor breakfast, minimal provision , 2 small prices of bacon , one small mushroom, undercooked black pudding , no option of beans, wish I had gone to Mc Donald!
