「Enjoyed a nice relaxing stay with family」
+Beautiful location, clean beautiful rooms, beautiful views
−Only thing we had trouble with was finding the entrance after dark. I think lights may need to be replaced by entrance, We’ve stayed here many times before & never had a problem

「Great views, great food, great location.」
+Loved the location about halfway between Inlet & Old Forge. Very close to several hiking trails. I loveeeeed my room and its proximity to the lake. Lots of chairs to sit at outside to enjoy the view. Learn To restaurant was delicious… wish they were open for light lunches, I was told everything is made from scratch. Destination charging for EV’s a plus.
−Although 3/4 of their EV chargers didn’t work, since I was the only EV I was able to charge, but it was working intermittently. Property maintenance was very motivated to fix them however. Also staff and non-EV people parking by the chargers got frustrating. Fortunately the cables are stop. Just something to note if you are relying on charging for your trip. Hot water wasn’t very hot in the evenings, hard to heat up for a shower after a long hike. Very hot in the mornings however. So shower early!

「Loved the view, really disappointed with everything else.」
+The view. The property is situated on a beautiful lake with a small mountain on the opposite side. The morning and evening views are amazing.
−We booked a "superior king" room in the main lodge. This was a second floor room with a access to a large porch facing the water. The carpet was soiled, the heat for the entire floor was controlled by a thermostat in the hallway, the hot water ran at a trickle, the pillows were massive blocks of stiff foam so good luck if you're a face down sleeper. There is self-check in, so good luck finding hotel staff if you have a need. The place has some great history and Adirondacks charm, but is in need of some serious updating and a major deep cleaning.

「Great location, lovely atmosphere, nice people.」
+The location was perfect - on the lake, with a path for anyone staying to walk along and a bar/restaurant for drinks and light dinner meals. When we arrived without having received instructions for our room entrance, the people working at the restaurant helped immediately without hesitation. Lovely weather and autumn colors only improved the experience!
−One reason I reserved a room at Great Pines was for a breakfast that we could pick up on our way out. However, we had to leave by 7:30, and that was too early for coffee to be ready.

+Service and food in the Lean To were excellent!
−Very tight quarters. Lighting in the room was not good. Also, the bathroom should have more shelving: one under the mirror and one under the towel shelving! There was not much room in the shower stall to put anything.

「Rustic and quiet lakeside inn」

−Check in process was confusing There was a basket of dirty linen on our deck which was being painted during our stay so we couldn’t use the outside stairs Restaurant was extremely understaffed and out of basic menu items such as French fries and burgers
