「Nice enough.」
+The location was lovely, but just be warned there is very little around it..but the scenery is breath taking. The lady on reception was just lovely. The bar area and surrounding seating area is warm & cosy, and the restaurant has a lovely ambience. The breakfast was top class. The staff were very helpful & friendly.
−The room had nowhere to hang clothes, not even one hook on the back of the door. No hanging space for anything at all. The toilet seat is broken ( it’s too small for the toilet I think). The curtains don’t meet either. I wondered why they were partly off the hooks, then soon realised they’d been wrestled with a few times to try & block out daylight. There’s nowhere in the shower to put a bar of soap or any personal items you use in the shower, so a rack /shelf would be really practical. Small fixes would make this light & airy clean room with a comfy bed so much better.

「Disappointing stay」
+Great location , food was lovely & staff were very nice.
−The hotel was freezing during our stay, we had to ask for extra blankets for the bed. There didn’t seem to be any heating on or fires lit in the common areas of the hotel. The room was very basic . The hotel has such potential & it wasn’t like remembered it when I was there many years ago. We checked out 2 days early .

「A wonderful country hotel」
+It is a perfect place to stay when walking the Hadrian's Wall Way. I liked the garden, interior, my bedroom, restaurant. Dinner was fab and so was breakfast. 10/10

−Shower rubbish, rooms cold heating kept resetting itself. Digital radiator controls I set at 24 kept going down to 16

「other than the duvet not being thick enough it was lovely and quiet」

「Great stop on our Wall hike」
+Really lovely inn - tasty breakfast, comfortable room, very conveniently on the bus line and near the Wall. We very much enjoyed our stay here and the staff was very helpful.
