「It’s ok」
+The staff were exceptionally friendly, professional and attentive, especially Oksana, Guada, and the tall gentleman who was clearing and cleaning the tables during breakfast on 29 October 2026. Their hard work, positive attitude and excellent customer service made our experience particularly enjoyable. They all deserve special recognition for their outstanding service.
−The part that I had to pay for parking space separately . I wanted to go for other available hotels but Guada and Oksana were so good

「Really disappointing stay - wouldn’t you book again!」
−We booked the Garner Hotel Wolverhampton as we were attending a family event nearby, but honestly, the experience was awful, especially considering the price we paid. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again. When we arrived, we found that the sheets were dirty and there were stains on the bed, so we had to be moved to another room. We also noticed a strange search history on the TV, which was a bit concerning. On top of that, the back door was broken, which was really inconvenient for us as we had a pushchair and needed to use the accessible entrance. When we raised our concerns with staff, one member initially suggested that a goodwill gesture, such as complimentary breakfast or a partial refund, might be possible. However, after speaking to the duty manager, we were told we weren’t eligible for any compensation because we had been moved to another room. Obviously, we weren’t going to stay in a room with dirty bedding, so moving us was the bare minimum. It didn’t change the fact that we had already had a disappointing experience, and I don’t think simply moving rooms should mean that the matter is automatically considered resolved. What makes it worse is that other family members st

「A comfortable stay in a compact but clean hotel」
+Small but extremely clean, nicely-equipped rooms. Clearly had a lot of recent investment. The beds were particularly comfortable with nice, plush pillows that my partner and I both really appreciated. The staff we spoke to were all lovely and the stay itself very comfortable and relaxed.
−Parking was an issue, especially for my partner - only three disabled spaces meant she had to walk more than was perhaps good for her. There was a bit of a feeling of the staff being overwhelmed when we checked in, but it ultimately felt frictionless. The need of photo ID seems a little odd and intrusive!

「Comfortable, warm and close to amenities」
+The room was warm, clean and comfortable, within 15 minutes walk of the centre and amenities. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and answered queries efficiently. Had a lovely, warming meal on return to the hotel after a cold night at the races. There was a pleasant cafe/bar with a good choice of food and drinks on offer, without having to go back out.
−Just a minor point for me, the room overlooked a major junction and traffic lights and was a bit noisy with the traffic during the night and early morning.
