「Beautiful relaxing resort! Family friendly!」
+Fufu Hakone was absolutely amazing! The setting is beautiful and peaceful, the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was outstanding. Every detail made our stay feel special. It was one of the most relaxing experiences we’ve had. Highly recommend!

+Super friendly helpful English speaking staff. Great rooms, spacious. Very nice dinner.
−Feels like a business hotel, not a real hakone onsen spa. Onsen was disappointing. Exactly same design and build as the onsen in solaria hotel where we stayed in when we were in kyoto. No sulphur water. No outside bath. No traditional feeling. The price is much too expensive for what you get. Besides - no option for western breakfast.

「Great stay but a few negatives」
+I’m going to be critical because of how much money we spent. When we arrived the staff were very friendly and accommodating however the reception area the seats were dirty. Our room wasn’t ready till 3pm which was fine but we couldn’t get any food and we couldn’t even get a drink. The room service snacks opened at 5pm but took 45 minutes for some fruit and nuts to arrive. The dinner experience was wonderful because it’s not something I think I’ll do again and we got to try so many traditional foods however we were sat by the trollies where they clear away the plates. We had just got engaged an hour before and was hoping for a special dinner but felt like we were put in the corner a little. Breakfast was an experience and was beautifully done also, they even dropped us at the cable car at the end of our stay.

「Calming, relaxing, beautiful, delicious, impeccable service, best we have ever encountered.」
+Beautiful calming atmosphere, in room onsen was so convenient and we used it often. Beds and pillows were beyond comfortable. Shower and all in room amenities were lovely.
−Would have liked to have more in room snack options, especially for kids.

「WORTH IT! We'll be back!」
+We stayed for our honeymoon and from the start, Fufu Hakone has exceeded our expectations. The staff provided wonderful information about our booking and how to get to the station where Fufu can organise a pick-up service. As soon as we arrived, we were asked to sit down and relax with our welcome bevvys and asked us to check our details for check in and select what we'd like to be served for dinner (Japanese Kaiseki Style Cuisine). You can also choose beforehand if you'd like the Kaiseki style or the Teppanyaki. I highly recommend you all try the Kaiseki for that full Ryokan feel! Once ready, we were led into our room by the wonderful Maria and explained in detail, the room, the instructions (especially for the onsen) and every tiny detail. Btw, all drinks in the fridge were included in the rate so free of charge!! The room was spectacular, the bidet opens and closes by itself automatically when you enter and exit, the vibe of the room was very romantic. Pajamas and lounge wear were provided and the cute Tabi socks!! I wish we could bring home hahaha. The TV was big, the beds were comfy as! The room was really cleaned well and the highlight, was the bathroom with the private onsen
−I don't have much to say on what we didn't like but because we only stayed one night and truly enjoyed it. The breakfast the next day felt a bit rushed though because it was close to checkout time. It is also on the pricer side but no regrets!!

「Highly recommend for a relaxing, luxurious stay」
+Everything was perfection. The service was top notch, food was so fresh and beautifully prepared, the rooms were pure luxury, and the onsens, views, and scenery very peaceful. Expensive but good value for price with everything you get.
−Nothing!
