「The stay was disappointing.」
+Location
−There seemed to be a lack of hospitality in greeting you and during the stay. It’s a grand old inn which needs some loving care and more professional staff. There were 2 dinner options provided on the menu one being a tasting menu and the other choice table d’hote. The 3 course table d’hote was not worth $400 Cdn for 2. The whole experience was completed within an hour.

−The rooms were tired, and the carpets were dirty and needed replacing. Lovely bathrooms but could have been cleaner. Couldn’t open patio doors because of the build up of dirt in the track. Very noisy heating pump early hours of the morning.

「Enjoyable short stay, but generally upgrading and redecorating would make it outstanding.」
+Dinner excellent. Breakfast very good. Bed very comfortable. Welcome on arrival was good, and service throughout was friendly.
−Conservatory was rather cold for dinner unless you were beside a radiator. Bedroom and en-suite needed redecorating. Tap in basin dripped. Towel rail did not heat up. No extractor fan in bathroom. Only one comfy chair in bedroom which was extremely low. No hairdryer.

+A beautiful house located amongst tress and by a river. Location is lovely. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
−Room was ok, had an amazing bathroom but the rest wasn't what I expected for the price. Our room was booked with a garden view but it's in a lower level so window in at grass level and there was a picnic table just outside one of the bedroom windows so you could hear groups sitting and talking. When booked, the restaurant was listed as A La Carte menu, but that wasn't the case, it was Table d Hote, set menu and only really appetising for those who like game type food, and not for our taste.

+Location, setting, atmosphere and staff.
−We had several spiders near and over our bed in the apartment we stayed in. We handled them, but the quarters needed a good going-over to rid it of nature's friends prior to the arrival of guests. Other than that, everything was great!

「Excellent stay all round.」
+Location and room all great. Hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere and in a great location. Food was very good at dinner I. The evening as was breakfast.
