「Cheap, but I’ll stay in the Premier Inn in the future.」

−Expensive hostel, noisy, dirty kitchen. Because the kettle tripped the electrics twice on the 1st day, I ended up boiling the kettle in the corridor, emailed Flexistay but they couldn’t be bothered to answer.

「A busy shared accomdation setting.」
+Located in a residential sideroad with easy access to public transport. Ideal if you are only looking for a place to sleep and intend to be wothin the city during your stay. After 2200 the house was quiet throughout the night.
−The property is extremely busy and noisy in the late afternoon and evening as the multiple residents prepare meals in the communal kitchen. Young children running and playing ip and down the corridors made completing tasks relating to my business trip challenging, even when in my closed rooom. The "breakfast provided" was freedom to prepare your breakfast in the kitchen from the ingredients. There needs to be some way of distinguishing between accomodation where breakfast is prepared and provided for guests and where guests prepare their own breakfast, particularly in a multi-occupancy accomodation where some rooms are advertised as a "hotel".

+The room was huge! Sheets were clean and fresh, the bathroom was spotless. Plenty of storage and bonus for us, it was right on the train line.
−The communal kitchen was not the best. The fridges were not clean, neither was the floor or the walls. Safe to say we didn't use the kitchen. Someone had also cooked fish which didn't smell good.

「Heureusement, nous ne restions que 2 nuits.」
+La salle de bain était plutôt bien.
−Le lit est inconfortable (planche de bois au lieu d’un sommier classique…) Les communs sont sales et les personnes qui semblent vivre là à l’année sont bruyantes. Nous n’avons pas osé déjeuner malgré que ce soit inclus dans le prix car tout était sale dans la cuisine.

「Good location for what we needed and at the price we were pleased with the accommodation.」
+The bedroom and en-suite were clean and comfortable. There was parking outside and the area was a quiet residential area but a short walk to shops and restaurants. Other guests and manager friendly and helpful.
−The communal sitting dining room wasn't very nice, untidy, needed attention. Kitchen was busy in the morning. The over-bed lights in the room didn't work.

「GDPR breach」
+The room was basic. I didn’t use the other facilities.
−When I arrived, I didn’t feel safe. When I left, I found my full name handwritten on a wall at the entrance, next to the key boxes, alongside my room allocation and the names of other guests. Anyone entering the building can access this area. As a woman travelling alone, I found this deeply concerning. Publicly linking a guest’s full name to a specific room poses a personal safety risk, especially given recent publicised incidents at other accommodation providers. I was in room 1; it was very noisy, and the whole place needs soundproofing. I could hear the trains going past. I wish I’d read the reviews more thoroughly, as I’m not sure how it has an overall good rating.

−Poor maintenance. Cupboards were broken. Wash basin had a crack in it. Flush was broken No soap or shampoo was provided. Beds were uncomfortable
