+Rooms were lovely perfect location
−Couldn’t get to eat in the restaurant as they said it was fully booked there was at least 10 empty tables from 630 to 830 it was full after that was not offered the chance to eat and be out by a certain time

「Alpine charm, but breakfast service needs work」
+Beautiful Alpine-style hotel with a cosy mountain feel. The room and bathroom were really spacious, the pool was a lovely bonus, and the breakfast was excellent with lots of quality choices. We’d definitely stay again.
−The main negatives were that the room was quite hot and the sofa beds were uncomfortable, with noticeable springs. The lighting in the room was also quite poor in the evenings. Breakfast service was the biggest area for improvement - food wasn’t consistently topped up, we often had to ask for items and hot drinks that had run out, and the service felt a little disorganised, with staff lacking ownership of specific tasks.

「Absolutely beautiful, highly recommend to families and couples!」
+Perfect location to venture out and explore local attractions and local areas, staff are absolutely exceptional, very friendly and available 24hours overall it was a lovely experience, the aquarium was the main feature throughout the hotel and definitely the reason we booked, my son loved this unique feature. Thank you for making my son’s birthday so special!!

「Very mixed」
+Loved the room, the size was amazing. Reception and restaurant staff very friendly. Central areas and room spotless.
−3 night stay, rooms were not serviced at all. Needed to get replacement drinks, towels, milk from reception. 2 days breakfast was good. 1 day was really poor, no plates, cutlery, bread, everywhere was a mess.

「Really impressed, great room and good value - they just need to optimise breakfast better」
+The family room was great, much better than we expected. Comfortable and large. The kids loved it. We really enjoyed the breakfast too, very tasty (if you could get a plate!) It exceeded our expectations and we'd definitely stay again.
−Breakfast was clearly a struggle for the staff to keep up with, probably as it was half term. They were constantly running out of things (plate, bowls, cereal, croissants, pancake batter, tables) so it could feel a little stressful at times. The pancake machine in particular was a bit of a nightmare; long queues (across the toasters), it takes ages to make two pancakes (but kids would often make six) and you could queue up for 10 mins only for the batter to run out at the last minute. The pool was similar... really really busy (5pm) but they were also trying to run a swimming class and members' lane swimming (without a lane) at the same time, which doesn't really work with a pool full of kids! I think the GM needs to take some time to consider how to optimise it all when occupancy is high.

「Useful location, good to have family rooms set up for older children, friendly staff, decent food.」
+Finding the hotel and parking after a long drive was simple, staff were welcoming and efficient so check in went smoothly. Room was spacious, clean, and well equipped with welcome details such as bottled water and plenty of toiletries. Heating/cooling system was simple to use and kicked in quickly although always seemed to have lost any warmth when we got back to the room to be greeted with a chilly blast. Food was good and service was swift. Breakfast in school holidays when most guests were young families was almost a military operation, staff must have covered miles restocking every section constantly, always with a smile.
−Booked for 2 adults and 2 teens, part of selection was that they both looked to have their own proper bed as we were there for a sporting fixture, instead they were on two halves of a sofa bed with very thin mattresses which wasn't great for a good preparatory night's sleep. Bar menu was limited and basic for the price, although the food was good. We decided to eat in the Rowans restaurant the next night to find it was closed, would have been useful to know. Thankfully Deliveroo had it covered. Pool was smaller than expected, unsurprisingly packed with children most of whom were just excited but well behaved. Some were unsupervised and disruptive, staff should have intervened sooner before another guest was driven to complain. Lane roped off for members lane swimming would have been appreciated as anyone lane swimming. Changing facilities were poor when you can't drip back through the lobby!
