+We have been treated well. Communication was perfect with a very good English. Everything we needed was done very easily - scooter, good food, informations about ships, bus to another destination. There was a really homestay atmosphere.

「A wonderfully welcoming homestay with exceptional value for money」
+We had a wonderful stay at Cat Ba Rustic Homestay and would happily recommend it to others. We deliberately chose a place away from the main town to enjoy a quieter setting, and this homestay turned out to be an excellent choice. We had two rooms, each with two queen-size beds. The mattresses were comfortable, and the linen was very clean. The property offers fantastic value for money, with everything well maintained and thoughtfully provided. The biggest highlight was our hostess, Linh, who was exceptionally warm, kind and helpful. We were running late on our way to the homestay, and she had lunch ready for us when we arrived... such a thoughtful gesture, and the kids were delighted! She also went out of her way to help us after we had a scooter mishap on the road. Her family, the kids, their lovely cat and everyone else we met made us feel genuinely welcome. The swimming pool was small but lovely, and the kids particularly enjoyed playing with the pool toys. Linh also helped arrange a taxi with a very friendly local driver, who was one of their neighbours, for our trips to and from town. Since Grab isn't available on the island, this was especially helpful. The location worked ve
−A small note for future guests: there is a bar across the road that occasionally plays music until around 9-9:30 pm. This wasn't a significant issue for us, but it may be worth knowing if you are a particularly light sleeper.

「Amazing homestay」
+Great place so beautiful. View of green fields and buffalos from the windows. Easy access from the bus from Hanoi (drop off and pick up for Lan Ha boat tour directly at the homestay). Also, the owner and her children are very lovely and are very helpful for everything. You can rent a motorbike directly at the homestay, which makes it so easy to discover the island. The homestay also serves lunch, diner and breakfast 😊 Don’t hesitate staying there, especially if you rent the motorbike for the first time because it’s easy access directly to the main road. The owner let us test drive the motorbike a bit to get confortable which was great 😊😊 + cute cat !!

「Perfect!」
+It was a lovely bungalow with a nice pool in the front and a nice view in the back. Linh is a very friendly and lovely host. So is the whole family. We felt really at home and had good conversations and learnt a lot about Vietnamese daily life. I would really recommend this place if you want to stay a bit outside the town, but with a bus-stop right outside the door.
