“A nice place (if staying in a room with a view) with unfriendly staff and a lack of soundproofing”
+We stayed in a room with a view facing the boardwalk which was lovely, especially during daytime when you could actually enjoy the view - that was the best part of our stay here.
−There was no soundproofing - you could hear people next door using their bathroom which was pretty weird to say the least. The furniture in the room wasn't that practical either, with the low lying Japanese style chairs and table being uncomfortable to use. It was also quite a distance to walk to our room from the reception area. The worst part was the staff - this was the one and only time during our 3 weeks of travelling in Taiwan (and staying at 15 different places) where the hotel staff were not friendly - in fact the girl at the reception was quite rude and unhelpful which spoiled our experience of staying at this place. Because of that and the lack of soundproofing I would rate this place less favourably than my usual top rating :)
