“Enjoyable stay at a unique and beautiful place.”
+I thought it was a unique and beautiful place. I liked our room and the estate, and access to the wine tasting. Good selection of wine and an enjoyable place to drink it. I enjoyed the stay, staff were very friendly and helpful.
−In my view room rates were expensive for the offering, I realise it was the weekend ie prime time, but weekday seemed quite a bit less. No room cleaning unless 2 nights or more, which is effectively 3 nights as if you stay two you are leaving and they have to clean your room anyway. Yes you can ask for more towels, coffee, etc but you would hope not to have to do that in this class of hotel. I thought there could have been more choice at breakfast eg some eggs, cheese or ham, maybe some pastries. more choice of jam or peanut butter for toast would be nice. Very noisy people returning around 11pm, milling around in the hall. thankfully they dispersed after about half an hour. With the pool closed for winter, a couple of hot tubs might be a nice addition?

−Disappointing. No plant based options except for fruit. No vegan milk options.

“I visit often, I love it. But I feel it needs a refresh”
+Beautiful location, friendly staff
−They rooms and bathrooms need a coat of paint. It was very noisy - tv next foot blaring all night, and noisy children thundering around

“A lovely three day visit”
+I don’t really understand the recent bad reviews. Yes, the bathroom is out of date and needs a refresh. But the room was lovely, huge, clean and very comfortable. It doesn’t have the requisite 50” smart tv in the room and that was just fine with us. The restaurant was excellent and just a short stroll away on a beautiful night surrounded by vineyards. We stayed three nights and the staff was attentive and gracious.
−As stated above the bathrooms, although clean, definitely could use an overhaul. Other than that, it was great.

“A wonderful way to stay in Williamsburg, VA”
+This was our 3rd visit and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The rooms are splendid and eclectic. It's a nice way to visit Williamsburg. The complementary wine tasting at Williamsburg Winery is a real bonus and well worth it.
−The wifi in the room needs work. Cell phone reception is poor so unless the wifi signal improves, it's difficult to have functional internet usage.

“Charming but uncomfortable beds”
+Situated in a vineyard just a couple of miles from historic Williamsburg it was a welcome reprieve from the bustle of our usual life. The staff were very friendly.
−The hotel didn’t seem to have very many patrons and the bathrooms could use some maintenance. The entire place had a “sleeping beauty” feel to it- like it once was really nice, but no longer well serviced. The beds were a uncomfortable and creaking disaster.

“Wine Country in Colonial Williamsburg”
+A charming quaint European country Inn just a short drive from Colonial Williamsburg. The Wedmore Place is on a historical sight and one of the oldest vineyards in the state with a restaurant, hiking trails, wine tastings and tours, and venue spaces.
