+Excellent breakfast. Friendly approachable staff.
−Cairns restaurant was a bit bleak with very ordinary though quite expensive food and long wait. An example for a starter garlic prawns (£12) you get 6 medium sized prawns swimming in garlic butter, no bread or garnish with it.

“Absolutely fabulous establishment, superior value.”
+Absolutely fabulous hotel, 17th century ancestral home recently renovated with excellent taste. Delicious meals, welcoming staff, great bar. Lovely grounds.
−Not being able to spend more time in this exquisite place.

“A lovely spot attentive staff perfect for a special occasion”
+I have specific dietary requirements which the team went out of their way to accommodate and not make me feel I was getting a 2nd class service
−Instructions on how to use the coffee machine in room. Not everyone has one of these and we couldn't get it to work. Had to ask for granular coffee instead

“Restful & restorative.”
+Location gorgeous; beautifully kept grounds, gorgeous views & peaceful. Dinner in Eòlas was very special. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were extremely clean, comfortable beds and lots of room if you're in the lodges/ suites.
−Wifi access in the main house was good but didn't quite stretch to our lodge (43). Not a problem for us but would be for those working.
