“Family run hotel and restaurant.”
+Overnight stop on way to ferry so room on second floor was fine and private off road parking appreciated. Usual amenities with good water pressure and plentiful hot water. Dinner served in enclosed charming outdoor terrace area and beautifully cooked food although a plethora of bouche amusants offered in addition to three course menu which bordered on unnecessary. It seems that smoking on such a dining terrace is still normal in France as it is open to the air. Breakfast was good for pastries but somewhat lacking in fruit/ savoury offerings.

+A unique experience with fine dining and exceptional accommodation. Gourmet food with Lobster and langoustines and all. The accessories. The room was in another building, but it was large and comfortable.

“Superb Food”
+Our visit to La Mere Hamard was our third. The improvement this time was quite noticeable. The rooms have been refurbished to a high standard. The dinner that was served was superb, prepared by a very talented chef at a reasonable price.
