“Perfect location for Cologne station and Dom.”
+The staff were invariably friendly, helpful and very willing to go the extra mile to help. Breakfast buffet was delicious and had more variety than many others

“Disappointing!”
+Great location. Great breakfast. Lovely breakfast staff!
−The room had a very strong smell of perfume and smoke. It was a ground floor room looking out onto the street so I couldn't open the window to air the room because of personal security. I booked the hotel Domstern but had to check in somewhere else at a different hotel (very near but it was confusing), and then go back to my actual hotel with a series of check in codes. No sense of being welcomed or hospitality. Next morning I mentioned the strong smell in my room and the manager said she would mention it to housekeeping. No apology! No smile. Disappointing!

−Dirty floor in one bedroom, paintwork in one room was tired, the mattress in one room bowed
