“Met our expectations”
+Convenient location to the event we were attending
−The room was too cold and at one point we were locked out of our room as the battery had failed on the door mechanism

“Lovely place to stay - recommend the rooms with a private patio.”
+Was lovely. It's clearly a "wedding" venue - so did feel a little like we were at someone else's wedding, but the room with the patio looking out over the rolling fields was great - lovely to sit outside. Dining room was a bit sparse - only us and one other table (as everyone else was at the wedding I guess) - but the waiter really tried hard to look after us. The Annex building wasn't too hot to look at from the outside, but once in the room with the patio doors onto your own private patio with lovely views, the off-putting exterior and entrance hall was soon forgotten. Overall, it was lovely - would recommend.
−The front appearance of the Annex building and the entrance hall.

+The bed was very comfortable, ambience good, lovely setting. Breakfast was ok, food good but a little chaotic.
−Not very good set- up in bedroom for doing hair/ make-up as lighting a bit poor and no mirror near sockets. Bathroom needs seal on shower screen as flooded when taking a shower. ( I forgot to tell staff, needs fixing) room 35!

“Stop over”
+The dinner service team were excellent, as was the barman, and the room itself was very nice and comfortable.
−The welcome and departure felt a little disjointed, as on both occasions we had to wait for someone to arrive to assist us. It would also have been helpful to know in advance that we were staying in the lodge, as we had already unloaded the car before realising we needed to reload everything and drive down to the lodge. The dinner itself was also a little disappointing. The lighting in the bathroom needs to be brighter.
