“An excellent break on route back to UK”
+Nice room with a lovely view. Good breakfast and pleasant staff. Free car parking and striking building.
−Cumbersome check in, having to put in all our own passport and other details on an iPad ourselves after a very long drive to get there. Being shown to an unmade room although we did get an upgrade as a result. Three course set meal was ok but a bit busy for my taste, too many things going on and very rich sauces. Light configuration in the rooms complicated, you’d need a week to suss it out and felt 40 euros for a two hour extension to check out was a bit steep. Swimming pool and sauna area was disappointing, did not get to sample spa area or treatments.
