+The place was ok in every regard but not outstanding.
−The cinnamon roll is supposed to be exceptional - it was not. Mostly dough. Very light on cinnamon, nuts, etc. The frosting is terrible. The claim to being great falls far short and there is opportunity for much improvement. Recommend that visitors skip the roll and get one at the Cheyenne Cafe in Joseph.

“Great Base for the area”
+This is a great location for hiking and traveling in the Wallowa wilderness area. The room was very clean and well equipped, staff were very friendly and accommodating. The coffee place on premise had great coffee and nice option for a breakfast before heading out to the mountains

“Convenient, great staff, mediocre room.”
+Great location for us--we were going on a four-day hike in the Eagle Caps and didn't want to start late--so stayed here the night before. The lady at the front desk was lovely and very helpful.
−The room itself was a bit dingy and out of date. The lighting wasn't great. I think we paid over $200, and that seemed a lot for the facilities.

“It was an awesome weekend with my family..always enjoy staying at the Eagle Cap Chalets.”
+The cinnamon rolls and coffee were great..a little too cold to go swimming even though we saw others in the pool.
−I was told that it had 2 futons and just had 1 pull out sofa bed..so it was a little inconvenient..
