“Unacceptable!”
−Upon arrival, we apologised for arriving earlier than the check in time, we provided identity papers as requested. We have been told to have coffee at the lobby bar which we did. The time we spent at the lobby bar was more than disappointing as we had to wait for at least 20 minutes before getting our order. The personnel at the bar was totally disrespectful towards the clients as they were talking among them about business and common things in a very loud way. Nevertheless, we by passed this scene, we have been served . Although the reception staff were aware that we were waiting for the room nobody came to inform us when the room was ready, although we went once to ask whether we could move to the room. Finally, once in the room it was a total surprise. Even though we had requested in the message when booking, upper floor with stunning view to the Greek historic monuments we got the room that had a view to the neighbouring buildings. When called the reception to complain about we were told first that they haven’t seen the message and then that the message was automated !!!!! All the years we book through booking.com we never ever envisaged such a behaviour. As the payment did not

“Hotel enfocat a grups de tour operadors. No es correspona 5 estrelles”
+El llit confortable, la ubicació i el personal atent
−Tot i ser un carrer tranquil, la insonorització de les finestres és dolenta. Es un hotel enfocat a grans grups d’autocars. La qualitat de l’esmorzar és baixa. No correspon a 5 estrelles

“Muy bien, unos días muy cómodos y el personal excelente siempre pendiente y dispuesta a ayudar a cualquier cosa.”
+Las instalaciones y las áreas comunes del hotel excelentes. Las habitaciones se han quedado un poco más viejas, se notan que tienen mucho uso.
−Las habitaciones, muy “trabajadas”

+The bed was very comfortable, air conditioning very quiet. Tea making facilities available on request. Outdoor pool with bar close. Location, close to Acropolis and the Plaka area. Plenty of water supplied in the room
−Lack of storage in the room. It felt like a business hotel. We stayed 4 nights, our room was a mess. There was only 3 small drawers in the wardrobe, no storage in the bathroom so our things were everywhere. Some of our clothes had to be put on the wardrobe floor. Pool was in a courtyard and got no sun, it is not heated so is freezing. You would not know you were in Athens

“Large business/tourist style hotel in central position”
+Rooftop restaurant was spectacular. Staff were pleasant and breakfast was good
−My room was little more than 3* for £330 a night - disappointing. Pool area is too public and dark and shady
