“Overall, the experience was good and I would stay again.”
+The location was convenient to visit family nearby (about a 10 minute walk). Close to a small mall with grocery store and fast food (Subway, Pizza Hut, Harvey's). Coffee first thing in the morning via the in-room coffee maker. Microwave and bar fridge in the room. Clean room and visited almost every day by housekeeping to restock coffee and do basic cleanup.
−The in-room HVAC and fridge were noisy. I turned off the HVAC at night and got used to the fridge gurgles. No coffee cream/milk but I didn't really expect it in a basic motel and it was easy to resolve by buying a carton of milk.

“Comfortable and convenient place for an overnight staycation date!”
+Comfortable beds. Convenient location. Quiet area. Easy check-in.
−Some lights did not work (middle one between beds ,bulb probably blown , and reading lights on one bed were unplugged, so we fixed that one). Television said “no signal” because cable box was unplugged, but we figured that out after checking wires and going behind dresser. Just little things were annoying and should have been checked before housekeeping staff left the room after cleaning. Otherwise we picked a good spot to rest for the night before exploring the area some more and then heading home!

+Champlain Motor Inn was so much more than I expected for my stay in Pembroke. I grew up in the area and was just back for a visit, so I honestly wasn’t thinking too much about accommodations when I booked. I really only wanted a kitchenette and enough space to comfortably move around for the week. The CMI kitchenette was such a great bonus and having a fridge, microwave, stove and even a rice cooker made it easy to keep food on hand and prepare meals instead of having to eat out all the time. Also the air conditioning was perfect in the summer heat. It was well set up, practical, and gave the room more of a little home-away-from-home feel than a typical motel room. One of the best parts though was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always waving hello when I saw them, but I never felt like they were intruding on my space. They were always available if I needed to check in with them. It exceeded my expectations, and I’d happily stay here again the next time I’m back in Pembroke. 10/10
