“Good Location but Overpriced for the Quality”
+The hotel is located in the heart of Jimbocho, a wonderful neighborhood known for its many bookshops, cafés and cozy atmosphere. The location was definitely the highlight of my stay. The staff were kind and welcoming, although English communication was limited.
−The room was stuffy and humid. As a result, there was an unpleasant smell both in the room and in the corridor, despite the air conditioning and dehumidifier being switched on. There was also no complimentary water, tea, or coffee, unless you paid an additional fee. Overall, I found the hotel underwhelming and overpriced for the quality offered. I do, however, recommend the neighborhood!

“Very close to Jimbocho train station. No frill hotel.”
+Right off of Jinbocho station. Room was clean. Books.
−Hallway is musty. There is a dehumidifier in each room so it does not smell like basement in my room. I stayed for 4 days and if you stay more than 3 days then they are supposed to come and clean the room on the third day. However the room was never cleaned nor garbage bins are emptied during my stay.

“Overall it was pleasant, with excellent location.”
+Location ( a few steps from the Jimbocho subway station)
−There was a strong smell outside the elevator before entering the room, and the air conditioner had a heavy buildup of dust.

“過ごしやすかったですが、部屋でくつろげる小さなテーブルが欲しかっなと思いました。”
+受付の方の説明や会話が良かった。本がいっぱいあり、部屋にも廊下にもあり、読みたい気持ち、楽しい気持ちになりました。
−部屋のカーテンやエアコンの中がホコリがあり、非常口の鍵が帰る朝見たら空いていたのはびっくりしました。

“Very convenient, but lacking in some basics”
+Location was excellent.
−The room had strange smells, so it felt less clean and homey than it probably was.

−No complaints. I am sad we had to leave so early in the morning to get to the airport!
