“Comfy, clean, good value and location but drain needs replacing before someone has an accident.”
+Location good close to railway station. Room lovely size, very clean, good size tv. Breakfast good well cooked. Mattress and pillows both firm (just as I prefer thanks) accessible wet room shower nice size. Windows that open! Curtains both nets and main ones nice and clean and fitted to allow closing out the carpark floodlights.
−Early time breakfast Saturday 8-9.30. English style breakfast could have done with being more than one item per piece. Only 'brown' bread for toast. Personally not keen on flat slate plates (grates when cutting up food). Main hotel front door, accessible outer door AND ROOM door all open with the same yale key!! Used doorstop inside to secure room when sleeping. Room 9 outside back of hotel via dark/unlit passageway adjacent to car park. Lesser person might feel intimated.

“Great hotel.”
+The property and room were very clean, with a great location. The breakfast was very good.
−The stairs were very steep so if you’re not great on your feet I would definitely recommend asking to book a lower-level room when booking your stay. I was staying with a toddler who was getting into everything while in the room so he was opening all the drawers and crawling under the bed. So I was shocked when he nearly ate a tablet that was left in the drawer from a previous occupant. Also he was crawling under the bed however there was a large screw hanging down from the middle of the bed. Under normal circumstances that wouldn’t be a problem however, I’d definitely recommend checking when your staying in a room with a young child. As he could have easily hurt himself on the screw or eaten the unknown tablet.

“Great stay”
+We had a really lovely stay. The staff were all attentive and friendly. All the food we had was good value for money and extremely tasty
−Unfortunately there was a problem with the heating in our room, so we were very cold on the first night but the hotel bought a heater for us for the second night which we appreciated

+Room high up & quiet. Good shower, housekeeping every day. Clean. Comfortable bed, not brilliant but adequate.
−No handrail in the shower, or rack to put the soap or razor on, having to pick it up off the floor every time you want to use it. Not even a non slip mat. T.v was basic esp. for cost of room. Lighting could be better.
