“Not recommended in it’s current condition”
+Communication before arrival was good, the family was friendly, they provided bottled water, helped arrange transport, and the shower had reliable hot water.
−Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. We booked this stay through Booking.com a few months ago and were really looking forward to it. We had reserved 3 nights but only stayed 2, and would have left immediately if alternative options had been available. We were genuinely surprised by the positive reviews, as our experience was very different. Also the photos advertised are very different to what it actually looks like - we suspect the mouldy wall has been photoshopped out of the standard double room photos. The original room we were given was clearly not clean, despite an additional daily cleaning fee being charged (which we found unusual). There was significant mould and damp, particularly near the bed, which made the room uncomfortable and concerning to stay in. While we understand humidity can be an issue in Malpe, charging guests for a room in that condition, with an additional cleaning fee is not acceptable. To their credit, they quickly moved us to another room, which was better in terms of mould but still lacked proper cleaning and maintenance. (Photos are of the room they moved us to, we didn’t manage to capture photos of the first room which was in a worst conditio
