„Over promised, over priced - under delivered, underwhelmed.“
+The staff were all lovely people, the food was lovely, view was pretty good - though it was weird to have the restaraunt next to a busy road view
−I called ahead to try and make this special for my wife's 30th, and she's had a particularly tough time of things over the last year. I let them know this was a BIG, big deal for us and they made us feel like that coud do a lot for us. Yet upon arrival they had a cake from their own cafe and a note with my name on it instead of my wife's - lazy. I even asked for some sunflowers in the room, didn't do that. I used to work in hotels and I know they have $100+ set aside to do special things for each room if necessary. The rest of the trip we felt lesser than regular guests and it was just so underwhelming.

„the room wasn't clean. i had just been at W KL - it was way better. they need to improve cleaning“
+Location, staff were busy - but did their best
−The checkin - was slow with both the amount of processing, and also the queue - it often felt like a passenger ship, and only three check in positions. the room just wasn't cleaned or prepped to a five star standard. the room had lots of grime still on floors, the shower had hair and smears and the couch had a nasty stain. after the W KL - i was super surprised. also i took a client back at 10.20pm and all the bars were closed. very early for int'l hotel, and they said it was staff costs ... so we had no where to go - again KL open til midnight. also the staff at the pool, i got into pool at 5.10 and they were so anxious to get us out - patrolling at 5.25 - it made it a hassle. at w KL - i got in pool late they were sweet - said stay another fifteen and brough me a comp coconut drink!

„Really enjoyed it and would stay again when in sydney“
+Buffet breakfast was amazing! Wide variety of food, it was all fresh and delicious. Bed was really comfy and I appreciated having movie channels and fox sports on the tv.
−for wifi you had to scan a qr code then create a marriot hotel account then select the hotel you were staying and choose a payment tier. Even though there was a free tier, it was over complicated and time consuming and I eventually gave up. You should just be given a password at check in for your room wifi.
