« An oasis of Kalm »
+Beautiful spot. We loved staying here. Arrived on motorcycles and it was a very welcome end to a day spent coming over the winding road from Chiang Mai. A special place.

« Nice place, exactly as picture. Transportation is a real challenge that ruined stay. »
+I loved the Kalm atmosphere, private space, and really nice lay out. It made for a relaxing place once there. breakfast was nice. It was perfect for a beer and to take in the view or talk.
−location. It is out of town and drivers all know they can quote ridiculous prices to get to and from. It's a dangerous ride too. Its enough the locals clearly didn't want to go and road conditions were always a concern (a guy switched his motorbike plan to ask a buddy for a car after realizing where it was) not just a negotiating tactic so if your thinking just rent a scooter maybe not the best plan. Expect quotes of 300-500baht one way- you can negotiate to 150-200. Staff weren't much better in helping organize to get around the inflated costs. Limited English didn't help and staff were hard to find. No restaurants except a very overpriced one about 1km away and no stores nearby. I wouldn't have minded all of this if I'd I had known in advance. The relaxing atmosphere was ruined by the constant issue of transport. Its great if you never leave the place, but if you want to do things maybe not so good.

« Laid back place to spend a night »
++ price + breakfast + rooms in separate bungalows + terrace in front of the bungalow
−- the wooden path to the bungalow and the bungalow alone looked quite old and in some places not safe - really cold during the night (missing insulation) - no wardrobe in the room - we could hear people in a neighboring bungalow talking and also cars from the main road

−very low quality of room, facilities, breakfast. We left after one night instead of the 2 we reserved.
