+Great stop for walking Hadrians Wall. Hotel is halfway thru a refurb - some rooms are a bit tired. Evening menu was excellent!

+The George hotel is historically stunning!! The entire hotel holds so much beautiful character, from the sitting rooms to the restaurant. The restaurant is also gorgeous, overlooking the river and their lovely gardens, not to mention that the food was very much fine dining for a low price.

”Fantadtic couple of days.”
+Booking was last minute and a real pleasure to find such a dog friendly hotel in an idealic riverside location. The staff couldnt be more helpful or friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and of course it was a paws up from our dog as he was offered treats at every turn. The hotel itself is starting to show its age but dont let that put you off.

”Great stay in a scenic hotel”
+Great stay in a hotel beside the river, with lovely scenery. Comfortable bed meant I slept very well. Breakfast was lovely each day and so was the evening meal I had. Great location for exploring Hadrian's Wall or attending Hexham Races.
