”Perfect if you are looking to stay close to Gare du Nord”
+10 minutes on foot from Gare du Nord and genuinely comfortable, which is rare in this area. All three receptionists I met were friendly and professional, and the Diptyque toiletries were a nice touch. Highly recommend.
−The area is not the best in Paris but you walk 50-100 meters and you’re already in a nicer street.

”Tear gassed, unable to reach the hotel, and still charged for the night”
−On the night of our stay, the streets around the hotel were completely blocked. There were piles of bikes thrown on top of each other, burning trash cans, and crowds, including some peaceful protesters. To be clear, my complaint is not about the protesters. It is about how the hotel treated us. My husband and I first tried to reach the hotel by car, then on foot. I called the hotel to ask which streets would be safest to walk through, but with several pieces of luggage we simply could not move through the crowds safely, even though we tried. Police officers at the scene could not say when the situation would calm down. The breaking point came when we were tear gassed and had to take shelter elsewhere. I called the hotel again, in tears, and explained what was happening. They said they would check and call me back. Hours passed with no call. By 7pm we had no choice but to find another place to stay for the night. When I called the hotel once more, the manager yelled at me and said that if some guests had managed to get there, it was not their problem that we could not. Rude does not begin to describe it. We never reached the property and never checked in, so I asked for a refund for
