“Good value for money given prices in the Cotsworlds but bear in mind the noise and the bedding”
+Our hosts were very helpful. The property was scrupulously clean, which was great, and decently equipped (washing machine, dishwasher, electric shower, television, electrical fans for each room). The sitting room is very small and there is no dining room, but there are three bedrooms upstairs and a nice bath. There is onsite, fairly safe, parking. The property is dog friendly. All these are good and important things.
−The property is on a corner between a fairly busy road and a new development, with a building site. Two of the three bedrooms are so noisy that it is difficult to sleep unless the windows are closed, which is not possible in the summer (because of the heat). This noisiness was because of traffic rather than the building site, although the building site did not help. Traffic starts around 6AM and doesn't diminish until about 10:30PM, but even one car can wake you up. The duvet covers are not made of cotton, which can be difficult for people with skin allergies. The beds are small: the largest is 140cm and the other two, 120cm. I know that 120cm was the standard for a double bed in the UK for a long time, but by European standards it really is too small for two. The 140cm bed (the only one that sleeps two people) has a very hard mattress. I would say that the cottage could sleep four adults comfortably if the mattress on the 140cm bed was less hard, but no more unless the other two beds are changed.

“Very poor”
−The booking description mentioned a private parking area, which was not available. We found a muddy, stony street space and had to leave our bikes there. Furthermore, there was no bottled water in the refrigerator, and nearby shops were unavailable. The house was cold, and the owner did not explain how to use the heating system. We were fortunate to only spend one night there.

“Very good”
+It was neat and clean, warm and comfy 😊 plenty of clean towels and good supply of toiletries. It was close to the places we would visit. The owners were really helpful and responded quickly on our call. The location link they sent was super useful and we didn't have trouble finding the place.
−The only thing we regretted was not bringing aluminium foil for oven trays as the trays provided were stained. It would be good if a spare foil roll was kept there for the visitors.. Also the washroom was downstairs so not pretty easy with babies.
